Just got this fishscale and wondering what grade you guys think it is. Tried my best to get decent pictures but it's hard to get good pictures of a coin this size.

I'll say F - VF.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

I'm not into Canadian coins...but why do you call it a fishscale ? Because of its size or the possible damage to the rim ?

I would say it's fine. But the rim damage will hurt.

Canadian silver 5 cent coins were called fish scales because of their small size.
They were only 15.5 mm In diameter.

I'd say XF40. The shoulder shows just a little wear, and the vertical gems in the crown shows them all. Mustache is worn.

That rim gouge really kills value.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

I think it's EF-40 details too...nice thing is it looks like a "Large H" which is scarcer than the small. It almost covers 3 denticles instead of 2 like a "small H". Hard to be sure from the picture.
