I came across this from a mint bag. The first one I saw I wrote off as a hit but then I came across another one. Three out of fourteen coins so far have this anomaly on the eye lid. I'm kind of leaning toward a small chip or die dent. Thoughts on this one?

The eye closeups were taken at 90 degree intervals (0, 90, 180, 270) for perspective.

Could it be a minor DDO?

Maybe DDO or at worst a die chip?

Do the die markers match up? It could be a hub double like the Eleanor Roosevelt quarters.

Of course, this close to release, the quarters could very well have been struck from the same die, and it might be a new DDO.

So I have gone thru about $10 of these quarters and looked more closely at the ones I had looked at. The vast majority of them had similar issue with the eye - one group more defined like this one and another group much less perceptible. This leads me to believe Brand may be right and it might be hub doubling. I do have a third group that involves the date which I will post later.
