My parcel from Belgium arrived as normal. No delays in US customs, no bills received at delivery.
My friend who received his from Switzerland a few weeks back hasn't received any customs bills in the mail, either.
Now I'm curious whether larger value (>$1k declared/insured) parcels from overseas are being tariffed...
If anyone has any experiences one way or another, please let the board know!

Instead of complaining online, perhaps these highly paid auction house executives should get a lobbyist on board to pressure Congress in exempting Numismatics.

Recall that there is a "goods on the water" rule that is supposed to mean the tariffs applied are those in force when the ship left the dock of its last pre-USA port. This would seem to imply that we may not yet be seeing the full impact.
CBP has always had wide latitude to focus their limited resources.
They could be choosing to let some items through to avoid backup in processing (trucks lined up waiting for days at the border has been negative publicity in the past).
Or they could be choosing to focus on high visibility (for media impact)
Or random numbers - randomness has always been a useful tool because it doesn't let the bad people game your system
Or ...
Generally, agency SOPs have not been subject to FOIA requests. Thus, we don't know what they have been TOLD to do, nor do we know what individual CBP staff ARE doing.
And assuming what happened yesterday will happen today is risky.

i am not sure if any current Members of Congress are known coin collectors, but if so it could be useful to call and/or write them to ask about tariffs and numismatics. Perhaps even prod them to attempt to "tariff-proof" this hobby.

Googling, I found that Oklahoma Congressman Frank Lucas collects coins. He co-sponsored the bill that created the American Buffalo. He still is in office.
Perhaps a CCF member from Oklahoma can contact him and ask about the whole tariff thing in relation to coin collecting?

If anyone has any experiences one way or another, please let the board know! I received a package of coins (below $800) two days ago from San Marino with no delays, no customs bill (yet).

I think the de minimis exemption for Canada and Europe is still in effect.
