I know its nothing special but its the one in pretty good shape from a roll I ordered. I want to get into Morgans more in the future and this one I find pleasing to the eye. Its one of those coins I keep taking out to look at and its one of my favorites. Any tips for a beginner to start out with would be much appreciated. Thank you.

hard to judge on these pics I think I see virgin frost around the edges but I don't like the marks on the obverse going from 1 oclock over the face. If its in a capsule when photographed it might be on capsule, if so remove it from capsule when taking photo

Actually I think thats from the application of a filter because I had to use my IPhone, since Ive yet to receive my proper magnify/picture equipment, and I wasn't able to get a good light setting. So the coin is fine and Legit. I'll take a better picture of it when my gear gets here and Ive set up right.

@Silverskunk welcome! My personal advice would be not to buy rolls of Morgans unless you're getting them for around the price of silver. In my experience, the vast majority of roll sellers pack the rolls full of coins with little numismatic value in order to get rid of 10 or 20 at a time. I'd suggest instead to buy either individual Morgans or lots where you can see exactly what coins you'll be getting beforehand. You'll get better quality coins, often for less money, and be able to choose specific coins that you're interested in. Just my Two Cents, good luck out there!

Thanks, yes Ive learned that. There is an awful lot to learn about Morgans and I find the coins and the VAMs fascinating. Right now I'm taking in all I can and I think this summer will be acquiring my share of Morgans. Is ebay the main source or is there a better one ? Thank you for the advice.
