I'll say VG, straight grade.
Errers and Varietys.

I see it as a split grade. G-6 obverse and F-15 reverse. I would net it at VG but undecided if it would be VG-8 or VG-10. Decent coin, Congrats!

Since it is the S VDB I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and give it the VG10. Really nice looking circulated cent!

As long as the coin has been dehydrated and properly stored (airtite recommended), the verdigris shouldn't be an issue. If you insist on a conservation attempt, I'd only use deionized water followed with acetone. Personally, I'd just dehydrate and store.
VG-10

Thank you all SO much for the feedback on this coin! It was sold as Fine back in the day. I agree with it being on the VG/F bubble. Yes on the woody, and that's part of why I liked this particular coin. @BadThad, I agree on the verdigris, and even though it concerns me a bit, I don't plan on touching the surface on this one. It's stable and in a dry environment here. When I retired (sort of) and sold my collection and remaining inventory a few years ago, I didn't realize that I still had this lone box of coins. They are from way back when I was a junior high kid in the 1960s, just getting started buying coins on commission for others. Sometimes I used the profits to buy coins for my collection, and this was one of them. It's been in an old capital plastics holder for decades. This will date me and make everybody else cringe, but my scribbled notes show that I paid $47 for it back in the day. That was a lot of money for a kid back then. I bought it from Dan Brown. He had a coin shop in downtown Denver, across the street from the state capitol building and just a couple blocks from the Mint. I rode my bicycle there on the way home from school quite a bit. It plugged the last hole in my first Lincoln Cent collection. Thank you all again!
