Hi all, don't know how many of us here collect this series? I wasnt going to, I'm getting tired of all the Quarters programs. I wish the mint would at least issue a normal pre'99 Washington quarter each year along side whatever quarter program they are pushing! That being said, I caved and decided to make an album for this thankfully short series. I love my CAPs album, but always change up the layout a little. Let me know what you think. Very nice collection of a very important series. The album layout is great!
The silver proofs in particular are striking.

This is indeed a beautiful set you have put together. Nice work. I'm curious about the colorized versions you have at the top of the first three pages. How did you come by them? Why did you include them in the set? Add that I believe they add an attractive dimension to your collection - and well displayed as you have them shown. But many folks consider them to be after-market waste of time. IMO you have shown us an elegant and appropriate way to include colorized coins. Thanks for sharing that.
Take a look at my other hobby ... https://www.jk-dk.artToo many hobbies .... too much work .... not enough time.

Hi, thanks for the nice comments! I wanted to keep each year on its own page. That would leave me with one "row of five" empty. So I searched out the colorized versions (got them from Littleton) and thought it would be a good way to fill that empty row. It also lets you see the subject of each coin easier. And while they have no numismatic value, I didnt put them there for that reason. Just thought it would make it an interesting and different type of page layout. I make my own pages for the CAPS albums, allowing me to layout the pages this way. I do similar with my Innovation Dollar albums, put have placed the colorized versions on the end of each row.

I love the collection but you might not love my following comment because you may have already considered this Why didn't you just keep all 6 coins of the same person in a vertical row Seems like the CAPS A Page was designed for that 6 rows and 5 columns You could do the same set up for your inovation dollars in the T pages I quickly photoshopped the first column of the first page to demonstrate

Well to be honest, I never thought of doing it vertically! Something to consider. Thats why I love posting things and getting the feedback and new ideas. Thanks

Glad you're not offended
Do you print your own pages or do you buy the custom pages?

Outstanding set of quarters - I love the top colorized coin to start each column.

I prefer the OP's original layout -- it just reads better. And +1 for the colorized versions at the top. That never would have occurred to me and they look great just for this purpose.

I don't know if it is possible but I would drop the redundant list of names per row and just go with a dated header row and centered set titles I'm pretty sure Valley Coin might be able to work this out for him if he can't print the pages himeself

I print and cut my own pages. After I printed these, I thought about adding the year to the top of the page, so I may go back and print another set at some point. And I did think about leaving out the name on each of the coin slots and just put the date/mintmark. I just copied the layout that came with the album, but the top row had slots for the 2021 Wash crossing the Delaware, which I did not want in this album. So, I replaced those with the colorized quarters.

Quote: I print and cut my own pages. After I printed these, I thought about adding the year to the top of the page, so I may go back and print another set at some point. What do you use to print and cut you own pages? Did you say you bought the preprinted album and then change the pages yourself? I'm not a fan of colored coins but in this example it's the icing on the cake. Very cool! I agree, the Quarter program is getting very tiring, just adds so much for some one like me that my OCD will make me want to have to get all of them or it will bother me. The $1 coins are getting that way too. I know mostly its to add interest and get people to want to collect them but it also makes the proof sets so expensive. I just hope they don't start doing that with the other denominations. The nickel ones were fine because it was just a short series.

For this album, I bought it complete with the pre-printed pages. I wanted to change the layout and print/cut my own pages. to be able to do this, my wonderful wife figured out all the spacing for all the CAPS album pages. She then figured out how to cut out the "circles" on each page using her Cricut machine. She put all the templates in a folder for me to use when I'm making or updating an album. Craig from CAPS/Valley Coin gave me some blank paper so that he uses with the albums he sells, but I'm printing with an inkjet, and his paper (which I like better) is too glossy for my printer. I think I would need a laser printer to use his paper. I will upload a photo of the original first page sheet that came with the CAPS Album...

This is the original CAPS album page for the first page of the album. I just replaced the 2021 WCD's with the colorized coins for that year. Each page is a complete year in this series.

What model Cricut machine did she use? I figured the cardstock he used would be too thick for a printer. Is is just heavy paper? I have a laser printer, just not the Cricut machine or the know how to use one..lol
