I don't really know of any opportunities really "missed".
It's strange to me that they even did the lettered edge for the 30th. It's kind of odd to me that they chose to even recognize 30 years at all. For the 25th,I suppose that was an appropriate salute. Just the 2 special coins.
For honoring other special events, as mentioned, I don't think it's up to the mint to use the
ASE to recognize these events, that's what medals are for.
I have a maple leaf that I think is an anniversary where they have the number quite large across the design. I don't really think it "played" all that well, but the
RCM will go out on a limb like that once in awhile, where the usm is always pretty conservative. But the usm has I think blundered on a few occasions.
IDK how I feel about the bullion privy marks just yet. I guess "it's not hurting anything", but does seem to cheapen the program,I guess is how I'll state it.
