In Milled Columnarios of Central and South America, Guatemala 8Rs 1760-1767 have a nomenclature I hope someone would help with. The crowns are separated into two types, one type with "One or both capitals with abacus" The other type does nor have this feature.

What does "One or both capitals with abacus" mean? How is the feature identified?

Thanks in advance

Look closely at the top of the columns / pillars.
Check for a flat rectangular or square block.
There are varieties.
I'm weak in this area, but it pertains details maybe at the top or near the top.
Some have crowns, some have just flat tops.

@Westwood Arms - can you post up an example of both please?
I looked them up in Numista but the examples are very worn and do not have much for an explanation for the capitals.

Sometimes coin sites are not the best places to look for answers about coins.
In this case look at the abundant online images of column types and the names of the parts on top.

I don't have any of these types, but was considering bidding on one. Did not know what questions to ask so no bid.
