Fun thread to start and a challenge to grade. Man that coin has seen some commerce.

Your grades should read PO1, FR2, AG3
I voted AG3 but hit AG4 by mistake ( clumsy fingers) Not sure if a mod can change it or not. Too much copy showing for a 1 or 2

You have your grading scale incorrect. The grades at the lowball end of the scale are PO01, FR02, AG03 and G04. I voted AG03 for this Morgan. Way too much legend remaining to go any lower. This can be a fun set to chase. Best of wishes to you! There was a time where I had the #1 rated PCGS Peace dollar lowball set, as well as the #1 PCGS rated Walking Liberty half lowball set.

Quote: so scale is P1 FR2 AG3 G4 G5 G6 You are close - but there is no accepted G5 grade. Quote: the low ball grades are G6 and below That may be your opinion, but for a serious lowball collector anything higher than AG03 would not be considered. Spend a few moments in the PCGS lowball registry and take a look at perhaps the top 20 sets for various denominations. You won't find many coins graded higher than AG03.

Quote: but most will do P1 FR2 and AG3 That's the spirit! It's a fun but challenging set to pursue. Below is a link to my previous Peace dollar PCGS lowball set. All PO01 & FR02 with two coins as AG03. I retired the set years ago, and it still remains #3 all-time. I have photos of each coin so you can see for yourself what these look like in true lowball state. https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/lo...meset/108733Best of wishes with your pursuit. Keep us updated.

what you have as P01 has no readable date? the PCGS list has P01 as a barely readable date and mint mark. a "no date coin is just considered as junk. or am I wrong
