Actually looking hard at a few. Darn nice coins and at the low end of prices. One in particular graded by ANACs. Ive never had an ANACs graded coin. Is there anything I should know ? The coin is in the $515 range https://www.collectorscorner.com/Pr...?id=69903650From what I can tell it looks like a very strong strike and lovely detail. $515 is at the upper range of my price range but it looks like its worth it. My budget is stretched but I really like this coin. Any opinions on it ? Thank you.

That's a nice one. It's clashed, may be a VAM 3A with letter transfer but you can check on Vamorld to verify. There's a long scratch on the reverse but looks like it may be on the holder and not the coin. I've bought some coins from Executive Coin on their ebay store, no problems. The coin is listed on their ebay store and shows the holder but more expensive. ANACS is well known though maybe not as popular as PCGS or NGC. As always examine the coin and decide if you think it's graded properly and decide if it's a fair price. I look at ebay sold listings to compare prices.

CC Morgans are my favorite & this one looks nice. As stated, nothing wrong w/ #3 ANACS, just not as desirable among collectors as #2 NGC or #1 PCGS.

You know I just bought the coin but didn't bother re-checking the price. And when I ordered it I saw its now $535. This kind of rubs me wrong. They dont have my CC # yet so I haven't actually bought the coin.
Its probably worth $535 but now its leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Theres no question the coin is a strong Morgan. But I'm 100% sure the price this AM was $515.Enlarging it just makes me like it even more.

Yeah they want more on ebay, $564. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3881154928...coin+companyIt compares well with other CC MS65's even at $535.

On the reverse, under the O, is that a scratch or the strike ?
Thank you.

Yes may be a 5A. Looks like a gouge in eagle beak I didn't see earlier. Sometimes there's not a lot of differences between Vams and the die stages. Under O looks like a scratch often called bag marks. Silver dollars were stored in bags and got scuffs, nicks, scratches as the bags were layed on each other and got tossed about in the vaults. Those never released for circulation can still have damage. Here's pic from 1910s of treasury vault in Washington DC showing Morgans in bags. The photo was colorized by CoinWorld.

Got it in yesterday and the ANACs covering didn't help photo-wise but I got a couple three decent shot of it. Nice coin tho, no doubt about it. Best Morgan I own.
