All I can say is wow! That's a deal at 25 money since it looks like a solid 30. NGC held this one to a very high standard and assigned a very conservative grade.

That seems very conservative, particularly for an Original Key Date. If I were the seller, I would've resubmitted for sure, I don't see how you keep this one below VF30. I don't think it's XF but VF35 is legitimately on the table. Great pick.

It's hard to imagine this hasn't been to CAC at that grade. So I wonder if something is up with the obverse surfaces and NGC net graded it? Very interested to see your in-hand photos.

Congratulations Numismatic Student,

Your posted 1893-S Morgan silver dollar is Sweet, Nice Obverse, Clean no distractions, Just slight circulation wear seen, Gunky " 893 "in the date.

The Reverse has an apparent weak strike, More wear seen, Gunky " ICA ", Nice remnants of an odd clash under " IN GOD ".

I too collect this Series, All Raw and while this is Another topic in itself, I am Thrilled you trusted your self and Stole this coin, Well Done.... Very Nicely done...

Overall a Sweet Morgan, Very Conservative grade by NGC. IMO All of a VF-35+.

Best wishes, MD..

the slab photo of the obv is probably the best photo that represents what the actual coin looks like in hand. would like to see the same shot of the reverse but the reverse is a tad better than the obv. based on the original photos I thought it had a shot at XF.

using that slab photo I have to go VF35. if it was mine the coin would be either go back for a regrade or sent to PCGS. the worst case is that it would come back at the same grade but the chances it comes back higher is pretty good. this coin is not VF25

This finally came. The coin is not as dark as I expected. It looks steel gray in hand. Further thoughts? Thanks!

Toning is a bit blotchy, but still a great-looking coin, and probably undergraded. Congrats!

Nice video, nice coin. I'll stick with a solid VF30 grade. Looks like a good pickup.

new photos, new grade. I'm at VF30 and still going with VF25 is too low a grade for this coin. the coin appears to have had an old cleaning, with that in mind I'm probably betting they net grade the coin down to 25 rather than details the coin. because of this I would leave it in a straight holder.
