I recently stumbled upon this 1958-D Wheat penny and was wondering if this is a DDO error or something else? Worth grading?
Thanks for the feedback.

@mon, rather than doubling, I believe that the extra metal in the letter W is from that die crack--perhaps there was a tiny chip in the die associated with that crack.

By the way, your close-up pictures are way above average for someone with only a couple posts here--well done!

to CCF.

I agree with above statements - a die crack with a chip just above the 'W'

To CCF! Not a DDO. Also, a DDO is a variety, not an error. Nice Die Crack.

You would have to show pictures of the whole coin (Obverse & Reverse) to determine that!
