Hello everyone
The purpose of this topic is to try to get as many examples of toning on copper coins as possible. Anyone who wants to post their coins is very welcome!

I am losing my copper coins to toning.
I am Brazilian and I don't have many Lincoln coins. Unfortunately, I lost 80% of them. My Brazilian coins are also being affected. I lost 40% of them.
I started to study more about the subject to avoid further losses.
I saw that the main issue is whether it was intentional or natural.
In my case, I believe in both. I influenced the process with the manipulation, how they were stored and the place where I left them. Now, it wasn't intentional. I didn't want it to happen.
Anyway, I hope this topic can help you analyze this subject better.
Thank you.

This one is more difficult to show. It has a purple tone in hand.

Thanks jbuck
The colors are really more beautiful in person, the photo doesn't capture the nuances.

Thank you, and I agree, photographing colourful tone is a challenge! Some have been able to master it, I have not.
