Technically not "ancient"; it's an Indian states coin, probably from the 1700s or 1800s.Now we just need to try to narrow down the state in question.
The pic on the left is an inscription in Devanagari script; "right way up" would be rotated 90 degrees anticlockwise. There's no Arabic script on this coin at all, which narrows down the ID somewhat to just the "Hindu states".
I can't tell what's no the other side - perhaps a jhar plant, with date-numerals "above"? I'm leaning towards Kishangarh state?
It might help narrowing things down if you can tell us a size, weight, and composition (is it copper or silver in hand? It could be either from these pics).
