1987-P Kennedy Half Dollar Cameo? - Coin Community Forum

jackson12345 New Member Canada 47 Posts	Posted 05/23/2025 12:20 am In my Kennedy half dollar album there are a couple coins that seem to pop out and grab your attention. The photos show one of them. It's a 1987 Philadelphia mint. Both obverse and reverse have shiny, mirror-like background while the objects are frosted. The appearance closely resembles a proof coin with Cameo. Is this normal, common, and have an affect on value? Thanks in advance. Report this Post to the Staff

MisterT Pillar of the Community United States 1858 Posts	Posted 05/23/2025 12:25 am The 1987 P and D Kennedy halves were issued in mint sets only and not intended for circulation which might explain the prooflike condition of the fields.
