Hello everyone Unfortunately, I recently had a situation in which I made a post here in the community about what happened. In short, the environment where my coins were kept is not very suitable, leading to deterioration, especially of the copper coins. The place is a mix of cigarette smoke, humidity, air pollution (there is an orange juice factory near where I live that releases a lot of waste into the air), hot temperatures and a bit of ammonia due to the dog's urine in the yard next door. The coins were transferred to this location 3 months ago. I lost many coins due to deterioration, but I managed to save some. Of the 1 cent dollar coins, there are only ten left that are toned.b

Bit of toning on a 1898-O MS65 Morgan that just came in. The slab is pretty scratched tho. Wrong reverse. I fixed it.

A 1878 Rev '79 7TF Morgan dollar Silver I'm really liking more and more. I had forgot I owned it. Actually I see the scratches on the obverse so it must have been cleaned once but it still has some nice toning.

thank you Doctor, EV, Hondo, Dearborn JB interesting backstory, in the swedish coinbook the 1862 type in the serie from 1860-1871 is the only one with proofs noted, they are all said to have mirrory fields, the other years I have seen dont have mirrorfields, who knows probably just wishfull thinking nice adds Skunk Sorry to hear Guz must be a pain, no insuranceclaims to be made?

I'm going to post up the 1883 CC MS65 Morgan I bought last week because its starting show some peripheral toning I find so attractive. Also its has such a very good strike. The Eagle looks fantastic, the breast most of all, and the coin is starting to really tone nicely. "Ok I admit it, I'm bragging".
