From a good friend for a good price:
Luxembourg, 100 Francs, 1956, P-50

- Good friend indeed!

Reminds me of my 2nd world note purchase after joining CCF in June of 2018 (after our Canadian Paper Money Forum -CPMF- shut down temporarily):

Oh yes, this is such a nice note!
And coincidentally I am waiting for this one to arrive! I ordered it some days ago from a seller in the US and it is now travelling back to Europe.

Another nice note is this one I bought some weeks ago:
Luxemburg, 100 Francs, 1963, P-52

Here's a couple "low hanging fruit" from the Solomon Islands.

They're still cheap, have lovely designs & are quite large-sized formatted (issued in 1980's). Much more eye-candy than their later counterparts (all small sized).

Thanks 'jbuck' & yes 'I.G.E' you'd be wise to pick up the large 1980's Solomon notes while they're still so inexpensive. AS you may know, the notes with the queen's portrait are becoming quite dear. The larger format was continued with the new designs & I find they have larger eye appeal

I saw an interesting youtube video on the short-lived Argentina 'Australe' currency & wanted to get some of the Pesos before the abrupt conversion which led me to this 50 Pesos (P-290) pre-hyperinflation note:

& while picking up the above I saw this P-169a 10,000 hyperinflation note from Bolivia:

and that led me to this last cheap pick-up from Brazil P-229 (again a 200 "Cruzeiros before their conversion to "Reals":

- all 3 South American notes are about the same price as the 1st Scottish Pound banknote so they don't hurt the pocket.
