Thanks @jbuck! -The thing I like about acquiring notes from Ecuador (which no longer issues notes) is that its like collecting the cheap cousin of El Salvador! Speaking of which, here's a 2 Colones from that country:  El Salvador are a bit less common (than Ecuador) plus their earlier notes vary in size (the higher the slightly larger format) like they do with some European (pre-Euro) issues. El Salvador folded before they hit hyperinflation. This is probably why El Salvador remains a little more in demand (a slightly more popular country to collect).

Here's 2 very recent purchases so far this year. Original paper, well circulated, but unfortunately for some reason I did not notice the small tears and 2 pinholes until after some time later...Grrrrrr... Portrait $2 replacement prefix 0WW. PMG catalogue: Pick #38*.   Portrait $10 replacement prefix 0PJ. PMG catalogue: Pick #40*.

 Queen Elizabeth II 10 Shilling note ( 10 bob note) we called this "Birthday money" as children. It was replaced by the 50p piece which in my opinion is soulless and dour.
