As promised, my 1976-S Clad Type II Ike that arrived today.
I do like the font of a Type II better than the Type I font. Also the bell looks somewhat sharper on a clad Ike then a silver Ike.

I have four Ikes now: the 1971-S, the 1973-S (Silver), the 1976-S (Clad), and the 1976-S (Silver). I think the 1971 and clad 1976 will go in my album, the other two I keep in slabs for now.

How's this for an Ike? Currently on GC with an asking price of 10k + BP.

A no-date Ike dollar struck 35% off center on a Taiwan $1 Planchet, weighs 6g.

How could that have happened, striking off center? Are collars no longer used to keep the planchet centered?

If you think that off-center strike is wild, check this one out. It's currently up for auction on Heritage.
