I went to the bank, and ended up forgetting to bring my big bag, only had my little bank bag with me, so I got quarters instead of cents and nickels. I did not find any good quarters.

Been buying about 3,000 dimes a week most weeks for the past month. So far I've gone through 14,500 dimes and found 8 silvers (oldest 1947), 1 2009-P, and 16 2009-Ds... the 1957 and 1963-D shown came from the batch of 1,500 I purchased this past Monday.

Thanks, jbuck! Grabbed another 1,250 dimes yesterday... the heaviest CWR of the bunch (at 114.40 grams) happened to have this little surprise from the Denver mint waiting for me... The only question left was the year... well, it happened to be the oldest possible. Enjoying this slow, steady drip of silver dimes, I must say. Also found a lone 2009-D amongst the others.

Well searched $200.00 face and found a lonely, Canadian dime 1957, 80% silver. That's ok, GL HH Webekin

Just my my luck, found a Wheat penny in a dime roll. Truly toasted, replaced it, and will take the loss. GL HH Webekin

So, I had to share with everyone my FIRST EVER silver find. I am relatively brand new to CRH, and have only been searching halves. I keep good records, and have really only searched $1,172 worth. However, I can only get 1 box of halves per week, and though I'd supplement with some dime rolls. Now, I've searched only TWO rolls of dimes up to this point, but I decided to stop in a bank and get a couple more. They were able to give me 3 rolls, and wouldn't you know, one had silver! I know that's not typical (one silver in 5 rolls), but I can say I'm hooked! I don't think I'll be splurging for boxes of dimes, but a few rolls now and again will be fun to hunt. Happy hunting!
