Quote: Decent mix! Thanks, jbuck. I was satisfied with both groups of dimes. I might get a folder for the Roosevelt dimes but I'm not sure I can handle another project right now.

Outstanding!
Thanks, jbuck! This is what I live for. Quote:
John, you're almost tempting me to start coin roll hunting. What a fantastic find!
Thank you, Hondo Boguss! I've found that being persistent is the key. The more different branches and teller drawers you get coins from, the better your odds of stumbling upon something amazing. I was at my LCS last week discussing banks and tellers and came to the conclusion that about 90% of them, particularly the younger tellers, have no idea about older coins and their value. Quote:
Great finds, John77! Nothing like the thrill of finding a silver hoard.
Thanks, TomM! Yes, it is an awesome thrill. As awesome as this one was, it's only my second-best dime CRH hoard find ever... two years ago, I found a NINE roll hoard between two visits to one of my local banks- the 2nd part of it (8 rolls) is in the link below: http://goccf.com/t/60961&whichpage=423#3360407---- I also wanted to take the time to revisit an old post of mine from two years ago as I was finally able to put an old theory of mine to the test: http://goccf.com/t/60961&whichpage=425#3385736 I had never seen anyone try to list rolls of circulated 1969 and 1971 Dimes on eBay before... well, I was finally able to put together full, problem-free rolls of both last month. I offered them for $30 and $25 respectively... and they both sold within a week! People are selling a lot of sets of clad Roosevelt dimes on eBay now - these two coins (along with the 2009s) are the toughies, so it is safe to say that they're well worth saving today.

I know, I went to the bank and asked them for rolls, got to the car and it had written on the roll mercurys I looked at an end cap and noticed a mercury. I was like, no way is this entire roll mercury's. Got home and opened, 48 mercy's and two Roosevelt. Getting lucky with the War Nickels of late and last week even got two Buffalos.

I went today and received nickels and dimes, nothing today but a 1941 and a 1947 nickel. Ordered a box of Pennie's and nickels. Should be good

I completely spaced on posting my dime finds this month... Not quite as amazing as last month and the full roll of silvers, but something quite odd - two Mercuries in a single roll. A 1939 and a 1944... BTW, the roll weighed 114.9 grams, so I knew right away this could be a good one as it was half of a gram heavier (or more) than the other rolls. I also found a 1957 amongst the 10 rolls I got from that branch - a US Bank which had been recently converted from a Union Bank. As a result of these finds, I decided to go back to the same branch the next day and visit the same teller... two bundles ($100) of similarly marked dimes produced no silver, however.

Thank you, Errers and Varietys and demy1970! BTW, I forgot to include a silver I found on June 10th in a CWR...
