The back of that $20 from Belize is really a naturalists' canvas! Nice note @LaoPhil. It reminded me of this 1991 $2.00 (which features ruins & a toucan in the panel):  I am a big fan of nature in the wild (not zoos) & toucans were at the resort we stayed at in Costa Rica (not too far from Belize). The resort was situated in a National Park (reserve) so it was filled with monkeys, macaws & 12 foot iguanas & the one toucan I saw in the morning. |

-Thanks guys. I feel that all the 1990 notes from Belize are very nice. And from Costa Rica & the back of their 1000 Colones P-274 (first polymer);  (even has scorpions - which I saw too many in Cuba) Edited by walk2dwater

Great notes, walk2dwater, thanks for sharing them.  I just checked and find that Israel issued only one banknote shows animal (real animal, not in symbols or coat of arms). It is the current 100 Shekels banknote issued in 2017 shows Gazelles which live in Israel.  |
