Would this be a Proof and is it worth anything but face value?

Hi Pateio

The coin is a proof,, and I hate to be the one to tell you but wiping the coin was as bad as the fingerprints,,Im sure beyond a doubt that the fields were impaired from being wiped with a cloth,, that also ruins the value of a proof coin.

Rick is right. You may have gotten it cleaned, so to say, but there are now tiny scratches all over where the fingerprint used to be. If they were recent fingerprints, say from you taking the pics then you might have been able to dip in acetone and gotten rid of them but even at that there is no guarantee. Like Bryan said, in about a year it won't be worth much than face value. Sorry.
