I'm pretty sure this 2010 Portugal 1€ coin qualifies. Doubling is on letters U ang G in PORTUGAL. And there is also a semi-big die chip on the left of the seal:

A very hard to see DDR, but it's there. Doubling on the date, spread and doubling on the denticles, and doubling on the LL corner of the bust. 1966 One Penny

Here is one of the absolute craziest double dies I have ever seen on a foreign coin. It is a German 1917-F 5 pfennig which to me grades about VF or so. It is a strong class IV DDR, a potential discovery piece, has about 5 or so retained cuds near the mintmark region, and to top it all off, the dies are rotated about 10 degrees. That said, I'm not sure what the value of this particular specimen is. Well, I could only get the more important reverse here...

I am the current owner of Lou Coles' files. It still remains Doubled Die Obverse #1. All the listings are slowly being scanned and shown on my Error-Variety News Facebook page. Thanks!

Nice topic, I am able to see many beautiful doubled die coins around the world. For those coins posted there, I am just wondering if you could find another coin with exact same error?

Can someone explain to me that those world doubled die coins are not unique/random or vice verse by theoretically?

It is interesting to see such small double dies in relatively new coins. But in older coins you can find some nice rotating double dies or even flip over. I don't know if it is relevant to post it in this thread but I can try. I can also post some other similar coins if you are interested in. Personally I don't collect them, but sometimes I meet something interesting. like this XIV century Golden Horde coins of Jani Beg Khan with a 180 degree rotation double strike. You can clearly see it on the first photo Does anybody collect such coins?

You can find exact the same coins, as the "doubled" parts are on the die.. I have a lot of doubled dies from Belgium, Greece & Bulgaria for example with the exact same error..

Thank you sander for your confirmation. I also have one 1907 Panama 1/2 Centesimos that someone posted here before, exact same doubled die. I think the theory is right, we just need to do something on world coins.
