I have this unique Atocha silver (I guess this would be an 8 reales). It appears to have been separated from a stack or something due to the deterioration on one side.

I am looking for $500 worth of trade for it. I am really looking for a couple pillar dollars (8 reales) with 1700s dates. Also I might consider $2.50 or $5 gold. I'm really up for entertaining any offers even for banknotes too.

I suppose I overestimated the value on this a little. Let's say $350

I think it might help if you posted some documentation. I'm not necessarily interested, just some advice...

I wish I had some. I purchased it at an antique shop in Wilmington NC but it didn't come with any. He had a bunch of other treasure coins.

If you had documentation, I might be interested. But these things rely almost completely on such documentation as it is nearly impossible to determine what ship, if any it came off of and that is a large part of the value, especially the Atocha wreck.

If I was going back down that way I would try to get up with the dealer and see if he had a cert but it's been awhile now. What about $200 worth of trade? Is that reasonable for anyone?
