As I promised previously, spent some time in order to show, how the 2012 F15
RCM set can be expanded / upgraded (all just IMO).
[Skip the entire "story" and go to the bottom for the pictures]So, initially being inspired by different all-over-the-world bullion coins, I liked the idea to have the
RCM set, since it presented good and looked as a "solid" item. Except this, I knew that this purchase will boost my
RCM status directly towards MC.
In the short words, everything was OK, till I finally disagreed to receive nice packaged base bullion coins for the triple price of the silver spot. I canceled the sub after 8-th coin (receiving .925 silver was already too much for my patience).
And then I decided about mine own F15 on the base of
RCM collection.
Main criteria's:• Include 15 coins only to utilize
RCM box
• Do not exclude any of major recognizable world bullion
• As much as possible to have "Proof" / "Proof Like " finish
• The new coins, which will replace unwanted, should be priced ~$100 ($120 max in exceptional case).
• As much as possible to "stick" to year 2012 (design or price may cause exceptions).
• Replace square (nice looking) to air-tite capsules (in my opinion â€" the round capsules much more accurate, they visually allow to "feel" the coin).
Here we go:1. 2012 F15 Privy SML (Reverse Proof) â€" from
RCM set
2. 2012 Chinese Panda (Proof like) â€" from
RCM set
3. 2012 ASE (Proof)
4. 2012 Britannia (Proof) (the last one with .958 purity)
5. 2012 Austria Philharmonics (BU) â€" from
RCM set
6. 2011 Mexican Libertad (Proof)
7. 2012 Australian Koala (Proof Like)
8. 2012 Rwanda Rhino F15 Privy (BU) â€" from
RCM set - currently in my collection, but since I have enough of "Africa coins", and they nicer than this one â€" will be replaced.
9. 2012 Gabon Elephant (Antique Finish)
10. 2012 Armenia Noah's Arch (Proof)
11. 2008 New Zealand Kiwi (Proof)
12. 2012 Isle Of Man â€" The Manx Cat with Kitten (Proof)
13. 2012 Fiji Taku Turtle (Proof Like)
14. 2012 Somalian Elephant (Proof Like)
15. 2012 F15 Privy Cook Islands (Proof)
And here, the pictures:

Gabon Elephant - the series started in 2012, so this is the first in series.
Armenia Noahs' Arch - this is the Proof (and not Proof Like coin), the difference - the Serial Number craved on the edge of the coin and matches with the paper COA number:
Somalia Elephant - couldn't miss the coin from this series, started in 2004 (?), the mintage is un-known, but the coins very well done:
2008 New Zealand Kiwi:Technically, this coin minted by German Mint, but like the Australian Kangaroo, the "Kiwi" is NZ "Flagship" coin. I didn't like the 2012 design (part of Kiwi Treasures series), and choose the 2008 one.
IOM "Kat" series minted by Pobjoy Mint, started from 1988. As a cat lover - couldn't miss this coin:
Fiji Taku coin:Minted by NZ mint, but since it has Fiji denomination, I refer to it as Fiji coin. Nice theme, Proof Like finish
Cook Islands Tiki Coin:Unique in it's design (well, actually designed like NZ "Maori" series - I like and collect it) was the last coin in the set. Since I canceled the subscription, I bought it in separate, later. Didn't see this coin nowhere, except in this F15
RCM set:
F15 RCM set coins that I didn't include:F15 Cross River Gorilla
F15 Rwanda Rhino - already posted the picture.
COA of the collection:As you see, the set's COA (general one) is numbered, but the
RCM's COA for single coins â€" have the description (these COA issued by
RCM and not minting Mint):
General set COA (left) and Example of Single coin COA (in the right):
The target remains, before I can say, that the Collection is "done":1. Replace the Rwanda Rhino coin - I will get the 2012 Greenland 1oz .999 silver coin
2. when the last coin will be replaced, I will remove square capsules and put air-tites for all the coins, to give the same look to all.
