This may be a first:

I have a 1989 AGE 1/10 oz. (unc) and I'm interested in exchanging it for a 1/10 oz. platinum piece.

The graysheet lists a premium for the '89, though I'm not sure why (it does not appear to be due to the mintage).

If you are interested, please let me know and if a straight-up trade would be sufficient or not.

Thanks!

Excellent idea. Win / win situation. Almost all of the time, platinum has a higher price than gold. Even if gold and platinum stay of equal value forever after this time, (which it won't), you can't loose.

There is always some temporary downside risk that for a small period, that platinum will rise more slowly than gold, but historically, that will not happen for an extended period. There is greater significant risk that gold has risen a little too quickly in recent weeks, and so should decrease in price a little, at least.

You are just changing from the medium rise elevator to the high rise elevator. I can't do that. I already have a 1 oz. platinum Koala.

Good luck, and enjoy the high flyin'!

Went to a show today and only found one 1/10 oz. platinum piece. Seller wanted $40 to complete the trade, so I walked.

Still looking....
