Yes, the first two years of copper-nickel clad Ikes was rough going.

I placed an order for Ikes at the only bank in town who will try and order them. In the past I've gotten 450 and 150 Ikes, respectively, by placing orders at this bank. Both successful orders were placed in early spring, so I imagine the coins were an accumulation following the Christmas holiday each time. Wish me luck ordering during the "off season". :)

I am pulling for you. I remember the good ol' day when I was in the cat bird seat. I drove so hard getting there, bag 4(?) I hit the bank "curb" turning into the lot. Ouch

Update: I received a call from the bank. They tried to order from their vault, but their vault told them they sent out the last of their Ikes 2 weeks ago. The bank told me they would try ordering Ikes for me again in 2-3 weeks.

2 banks tonight yielded 11 Ikes....All common circulated, so they'll go in my "to be sold locally for $1.10 each" bag. Better than nothing!

Bank #1 had no Ikes, but there were no other customers so my teller offered to call a couple other branches. 1 branch reported having 25 Ikes, so off I went.

6 BU bicentennial Cu-Ni clad!
1 40% silver bicentennial (my first silver Ike)!

The remainder were common circulated Ikes so they go in my sell bag.

I'm very pleased

2 out of 4 banks tonight yielded 1 Ike, and 11 ikes, respectively. On BU bicentennial was the only keeper for me.

I'll keep seeking them :)
