Victoria Ten Cents General Grading Standards G4 Good - The braid, laurel wreath, top knot and facial features have worn through. A silhouette is virtually all that remains. VG8 Very Good - No detail in braid around ear. F12 Fine - The braid, along with the top knot design, have lost sharpness. Braiding is beginning to run together. The two twists of the top knot are merging together. The central leaves of the laurel wreath show wear. VF20 Very Fine - The braid, top knot, and eyebrow show loss of detail. The design, while complete, is losing sharpness. The braid from the start down to the ear is beginning to blur. EF40 Extremely Fine - Hair on the first strand of the braid has lost detail, but the braid itself in mostly sharp and clear. The eyebrow and the two twists of the top knot show loss of detail. AU50 About Uncirculated - Slight traces of wear appear on the high points. Luster is still 60 to 70 percent present. Mint luster is disturbed in the fields around the design. MS60 Uncirculated - No traces of wear. Contact and/or handling marks are present. High degree of mint luster still present, but may be slightly disturbed. Strike may be weak. MS63 Select Uncirculated - No traces of wear. Attractive luster, typical strike, with minor surface marks. MS65 Choice Uncirculated - No traces of wear. Nearly perfect. May have minor hairlines or handling marks in secondary areas. Full luster must be present.
