Nothing wrong with that, but a hundred different people would be able to name a hundred more Americans who are more deserving than Charlie at this time.

Sorry, no disrespect to him, but propping him up now is disrespectful to many, many more deserving men and women who have not had their chance to be commemorated this way.

Now a medal, that is a whole other conversation and would probably get way more support, even from those who disagreed with him in principle, but agreed with him on the freedom to have those disagreements.

IMO, this coin bill was likely an "in the heat of the moment" or "emotional impulse" proposal - it likely has only a small chance of passage. (But you never know!)

It has been interesting to read the numerous reactions to the coin proposal, however.

As I said above, I'll post more details when I learn them.
