Hi Whitman,
I don't know the nuances of grading Canadian coins, but by US standards I'd call this choice VF. There is obvious light wear on Victoria's hair and the leaves of her wreath. The denticles show some wear and the reverse wreath shows wear at the center of some leaves. However, all major details are clear and most are sharp. There are a few noticeable hits on the obverse but nothing that is out of place for the grade. The surfaces look original.

Nice coin!

wwhitman- nice looking coin. I'm not sure that that would make EF, but it is certainly a nicer VF. So I agree with Jaobler.

There were actually 4 varieties of the 1893.

two of them has to do with the date, there is a round top three, and a flat top three which Whitman has.

The round top three, is worth the most.

BTW- I would also agree with VF
