Sorry, Eric, but it's got nothing to do with Romans, or the Social War. It took a bit of eyestrain, but the obverse legend reads HERODOU BASILEOS - King Herod. The coin is purporting to be a bronze coin of Judaea, from just before the time of Christ.
I say "purporting" because I'm pretty sure it's not genuine. It's far too round, and the artistic style of the helmet on the obverse looks cartoonish.
Here's what it's supposed to look like. Yours is probably a Holy Land tourist copy.
