Would you consider those reverse scratches damage? CCCS slabbed it with no qualifiers ... I'm not so certain they should have.

I think those scratches are significant and the coin should have been put in a soft slab and noted.They really take something away from the value of this coin.CCCS' reputation can be affected by grading coins like this.They said they wouldn't put any damaged or cleaned coins in hard slabs,now we see this.

Hi, chequer, It looks like scratches on the coin, but could they be on the plastic?

I was wondering that too, Shafta9a. I suppose there's a small possibility, but they sure look like tiny gouges in the metal and even seem to lead into the date. I'd be really interested in seeing this coin/slab.

Looks to me like scratches on the plastic.
