when I went to the beach the other day, I was walking around, and I noticed a quarter on top of the sand right under the pier. when I went down to get it, I discovered 4 quarters, 6 dimes, and a ton of pennies nothing old, but I did not even have a metal detector, I was just looking on top of the sand!

I know that this will sound really grose but, one of the very best places to search are old, old trash piles out in the Country and the very, very best place to search is the bottom of an old outhouse...preferably limed and not used for years! It's a lot of digging first, but well worth it. There have been many discoveries of valuable, early dates as well as Civil War issues found. It's worth a shot if you have one on your property/neighbor or close by. Think about it and why they'd be there - it's pretty simple!

I know my great grandfather used to bury his "stash" in the outhouse because no one would want to stay in there long enough to try and find it

Smart man - your Great Grandfather! My Grandfather always wore overalls - drop em and guess where the coins went!
