1982 d jefferson found in circulation? worth keeping ?y/n

I have read thatthe 82's no mints were made and all hit circulation.
The ones in better shape are worth a prem while the others a nickle

So is this one worth pulling yes or no ?

Is this one good enough someone might want it to replace one in their collection with this one ?




some gashes , the l in liberty is strange and the d has a weird mark around it

I vote too many hits and not enough steps to keep. Look at a box of nickels or two and you'll be able to do better.

i wouldn't save anything unless it's from -1959 or if its silver.

I keep more than just pre 60's. There are some incredible premiums that can be realized on mid to high MS nickels from the 70's and 80's. Just look at past forum auctions/sales on 1970's nickels. Of course its rare that you find them in circulation but that is of course why there is a premium. I also accumulate high quality 1982 and 1983 nicks for the same reason you mention. Rolls of BU nickels from those years sell very well on the Bay.
