I have a barely circulated 1933 One Florin featuring Emperor King Goerge V. 1933 was the first year coins where minted for New Zealand in England, based on a british coin of the same period but featuring a Kiwi on the opposite side from the King. A very rare coin in New Zealand. I also have a 1947 and a 1965 of the same coin.
I also have a 1964 and a 1965 One Shilling, these feature a Maori warrior on the opposite side from Queen Elizabeth II.

Doesn't sound awfully rare to me. Note that you are NOT supposed to sell your coins unless you have 50 posts and in the right forum section.

Welcome Bruster,

Seems at the moment there in New Zealand, people are going crazy over 5 cent coins especially those dated 2004. As a New Zealand decimal coin collector I have been trying to get a full range of the coins struck at the various mints. I have most circualtion coins and mint sets except for the more recent circulation coins. It seems impossible to get anything on Trade Me at present given all the scams and one timers asking rediculous prices. Do you have anything from the past few years? Wayne

Hey Brissyboy, you are right about trademe at the moment. If I was you I would wait a while and hopefully the country will forget the 2004 5cent coin and settle back into ignorant bliss!!In the mean time I am avoiding New Zealand coins like the plague and concentrating on my US collection

Of the Half Crowns 1961 is the sleeper with only 80,000 and still only valued at NZ$90 in BU.
For the Half Penny the scare years are 1954 and 1955 with mintage 240,000 each.
For the Penny they are 1954 (1,080,000) and 1941 (1,200,000) with 200,000 being in sets for 1965.
For the Threepence they are 1935 (40,000) and 1950 (800,000).

I see that you forgot to mention the 1940 Centenary 1/2 Crown,the 1935 Waitangi Crown,the 1965 'Broken Wing' 6d.,the 1967 'No Sea' 5c.,&,of course,the 1967 'Bahama Islands' mule 2c. coin.

The late Bill Lampard,F.R.N.S.N.Z. discovered the 'Broken Back' variety of the 1958 1/- in around the year 1998.It is the same type of fault as on the 1942.Plus the 1962 1/- with the missing ground-line behind the Maori is one error coin to look for.

Aidan.
