coinguybrian Rest in Peace United States 5375 Posts	Posted 11/18/2009 1:21 pm I don't know, maybe they're grading it F-15 or VF-20, but even at that grade, it can't be worth $3000! It's cleaned and pretty obviously corroded too, jeesh some buyers are crazy. I've had times when I bid 'high' on a coin I thought was worth $800 because I liked it ($750) and end up getting outbid by $500, but this seriously takes the cake. And no, I did not bid. biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 11/18/2009 4:09 pm The bidders may have just gone nuts because it is a fairly rare coin but they are out there if you look hard enough, Heritage auctioned 14 of them since 2008 with hammered prices between $402.50(a thoroughly abused G-6) and $37,375(an original AU-55).
