Two new Franklins... man I love these coins. So many dealers at the show I was at this weekend looked at me funny when all I looked at was the Franklins

I wish I could capture the true color of this coin. It is more alive... esp the obverse.

Love the Franklins too. Is the 1957 a cameo?

Thanks jbuck and muddler. Yes it is a cameo. I worked for about 20 minutes to get a pic that at least somewhat showed how pretty she is.

Went on a trip to Utah as mentioned a couple pages back.

We stopped by the gold and silver pawn shop (pawn stars) on our way there. I was planning on looking at the coins and maybe picking something out from their collection... turns out they only had a few expensive, overpriced coins. Same with all the other items in the store. Well I picked this out just as a souvenir

When I asked him for one he first started trying to convince me its a better investment for the full ounce and I had to tell him I just wanted a souvenir a couple times. Then while I was getting the $10 out of my wallet he flicked it into the air with his thumb and caught it! What a punk. I should have told him to go get me a new one after that but I just left.

Then I headed over to zion where we spent our vacation. It had, so far, the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. I have a smushed penny collection that I don't really pay attention to but whenever I see one of those machines I have to get one.

jgettings00, I always do the smashed penny thing too. I like to get junked Indian cents and and smash them. Or at least a copper cent. The zinc cents just don't smash well. Everyone looks at me funny when I try to explain I need a "copper" penny because most people think they are all copper. Funny and frustrating at the same time.

Got this for a little over scrap. Why do so many coins have Liberty's face punched out? Was this a New Orleans Half Dime?

Four of my aquisitions while on vacation in Florida this week. Striving towards my goal of as large a collection of all Morgan dates and mint marks in MS+ as possible.
