I picked up an 1899 Morgan for $30. I looked at it yesterday in a box of silver dollars at a store, then went home and checked the book. I picked it up this afternoon as soon as I could after work. It looks like it's around an EF, so it's worth about $200! These kinds of finds don't happen often.

I just got this 1958 proof , but it looks like someone touched it the tried to clean it. But it's still a nice coin.

Picked up twenty 1959-1964 proof sets. Was looking for a roll of 90% silver halves and came away with a little more. Paid a bit of a premium but $23 a set seemed fair. Next up some mint sets from the same era. They are a bit cheaper.

Sold some coins at a local (smallish) coin show, and bought some Morgan dollars for my 7178 and 7179 albums. I am missing 3 very rare coins but have two varieties.

Wow, nice set of morgans. Are you going to try to get the last 3 eventually? I wonder why they chose to have a hole for the 1895, after all it is a proof coin. So it would be the only proof in the set.

I bought several of them from IndianGoldEagle

I will not be getting the 1895, since the only one that I have seen was listed for $47,500
The other two are expensive, but might be do able eventually

I don't know why Dansco included it in the album.

Yeah it's a bummer that it was included in the album. I wouldn't be able to live with a complete set that has one hole in it. Eww. Good luck on getting the other two holes. It will be a great accomplishment when completed. I'm sure it already is.

Finally found a $1 type 1 that I was happy with. Going in the 7070 album.

Nice sharp strike! The reverse, especially the date, have the tendency to be weak.
