Thanks to fellow CCF member Tom Cockroft, there are a LOT of proof (and other) holes that will be filled in my albums: Eisenhower dollars:  P, D,& S clad proof for the following years: 73, 74, 76, 77, 78 JFK Halves  Clad proof for: 73, 77, 78, 79, 81, 99, 00 Also 87PD, and 90D from mint set Washington quarters clad proof for:  1968 - 1979, 81 FDR dime clad proof:  68-73, 77-79, 81, 86-06 Jefferson nickel proof: 70-173, 77-79, 81, 99     Temporarily in 2X2s just for pictures.   Bought today to go into a 20th century type album... Until I stopped by the next coin shop and bought a 7070. Looks like I am going to tackle the all mighty 7070 over the next couple of years. |

I won these at an auction site 2 weeks ago, they arrived yesterday  four 1968-D Kennedy half dollar, here is an example   look like they were taken from an BU/AU roll, and one has been swapped for a less appealing one in my Kennedy half dollar album. |

I guess I have Moe to blame thank for this one. His announcement of a new 7070 'Days Of' thread inspired me to get out that album to see which hole I would most like to fill. With a wad of spare profits from the sale of a surplus item from my 'other' collectibles hobby, I decided to visit a local dealer I had not been by to see in a year or so. I mentioned that I'm very weak in seated 'arrows' types. When he showed me this raw specimen with its MS surfaces and subtle golden toning, that spare cash was gone in a flash. Enjoy the pics. Went to my Post Office to get one coin that had notice left yesterday. Shipments arrived this morning, so I brought home a few others.  Thanks SA4H I am calling this my $5 Liberty Quintet. They are: Top: 1880 Mid Left: 1880 F-VF Mid Right: 1895 MS-61 (ex slab) Low Left: 1899 AU-58 (ex slab) Low Right: 1900 MS (all were "graded" and ex-slabbed when they arrived)   |

I bought this the other day at the LCS for a little over spot. Nothing spectacular and they made a gazillion of these - I just liked it.   |
