This coin has been cleaned and has a few small rim dings. As such I may have overpaid. However, I really like it; large, heavy sterling silver, young Victoria head, beautiful reverse, lots of detail. My nicest British coin I think.

What are your comments and grade estimate?

That's a great coin - I really like these. They are a substantial piece and that one has great detail and good eye appear even with the wear. Grade is as you see it - it doesn't really matter what people say - it's a very nice coin.

Interesting little die flaw in the 'A' of VICTORIA.
Quite a pleasing coin.

No obvious wear, unless you look closely. Therefore good EF. No mint lustre, but a nice patina. Possible light cleaning many decades ago? Minor edge bumps.

It's a full grade better than mine.

Jaobler......you like it? So do I.
Don't worry too much if you think you overpaid.

That's why I never really "grade" coins because it's all so subjective - and there must be different standards throughout the world. To me this would never be an EF because of the wear on the harp, the lions faces, the jewelry on the crown, the rim dings and the obverse gouges on the cheek and the wear on the hair. But it doesn't really matter - because it's a fantastic coin.

I love it, if only I could find some like that where I live.
