Going through penny rolls and found this, I know very little about world coins and I was wondering if you could help me. Also is it really an 1881 coin?

Cool find! It's an Austrian 1 Kreuzer coin and the date really is 1881. Common date, 37,900,000 pieces minted but still a great find. I wonder how a 130 year old coin makes it into circulation these days...

Hope this helps!

Your find reminds me of a interesting event that occured about 4 yrs ago. My boyfriend worked for brinks at the time and his job was to sit and watch the machine that sorted and rolled penny rolls. Occasionally the machine would reject a coin normally because it was foreign, and it would be tossed into a differnt chamber. Well it rejected a coin one morning and my boyfriend looks at the thing before tossing it and it has done sort of leaf design on one side and a very graphic sexual design on the other he said it was about the size of a penny but silver in color, he of course tossed it like the rest but always wondered what it was, now being a big buffalo collector he said it didn't appear to be altered like a hobo nickel is. Just a fun lil story, I thought I'd share.

I always bump into mysterious coins & get surprised eventually that their value is less than I expected.
