Went to a school we had not searched in about 2 years yesterday. Pulled over $15 in change and a ring (Not marked but heavy enough to be white gold.)

Holy Schnikey! That's a bunch of clad! I think I've cleared out the 3 totlots closest to my house and have found a grand sum total of 2 quarters.

clad, is just miscelaneuos coins you find right? like pennies,nickels etc etc

Clad refers to modern coins ie non silver Nickle clad copper or Copper clad zinc...

That is pretty amazing to find that much in a small area, but it is heavily used, so it makes it worth your while. Maybe you should search it more than once every 2 years?

Do you have any problems for businesses accepting those badly beaten up coins that are hardly recognizable?

Not sure if even a coin counter would accept some of those beaten up coins.
