I found these tokens in the ceiling of my basement and have no idea what they are. They are the same diameter as an American nickel but seem to be thinner than a dime.
I'm not sure what type of metal they are made from but I think that it is some type of bronze alloy considering the coloring. They are nonmagnetic.
I cannot accurately weigh them but they seem to weigh more than contemporary American penny but less than a nickel.
Token 1 seems to weigh less than token 2 and the markings, though similar, do not match up exactly between the two so I suspect that they were not produced by a normal minting process.
Any help in pointing me in the right direction to research these would be appreciated.
