Interesting.

The bank existed under that name until 1969, so the name on the roll is possible, unlike those Morgan CC rolls which we talk about occasionally. More important, though, is "The Johnson Fare Box Company." That company also existed, and was a major producer of fare boxes for streetcars and buses. They also made changers.

I wonder if the two companies did a co-branding scheme to advertise themselves, both being in businesses which would make their names on coin rolls to be good advertising? Quite intriguing, and these names together are plausible. These just_might be the real deal. The seller doesn't strike me as the fly-by-night type.

I'm not too sure if these would be considered BU. The Johnson Fare box co. produced fare collecting apparatus since the turn of the last century making this roll more likely half dollars from collected fares. It also appears one end has been opened and partially re-closed. I do not see this being worth any more than melt in my opinion.

Rolled coins on eBay are a crap shoot. Looking at the paper it looks like one end has bee opened and I would venture to say the roll has been cherry picked for any coin that is worth more than melt. At 37.5 x face value that is at least $12 above current spot value. Let it go and buy a roll for close to spot or coins you are able to identify as quality.
Rest in Peace

My SWAG-

Johnson Fare Box made the wrappers, like String & Son, and FNB had theirs imprinted.

You can buy canvas bags in many sizes and have them imprinted with your store name, logo, etc. Ditto zippered/lockable deposit bags, etc.

I would say that the two end coins certainly DO NOT look to be BU. I guess it depends on weather or not you're feeling lucky. Personally, I'd go with APMEX or someplace where you know what you're getting.
