Hi All,

Has anyone ever seen one of these?

Found this coin dusting off my coin collection, it's probably a magician'S coin.

US victory nickel 1911, the insert is a 1928 penny, plated and stamped as a nickel.

Unless its a real rarity?

Pretty cool huh?!

Interesting, must say that I never saw something like that. It could be magician tool. Cant think of any other use for it...

I believe it is a spy coin of some sort. Type it in a search engine and a lot pop up. They are used to hide things in.

I've seen several magician's coins and yours are the oldest.

I have a Kennedy half that opens up but there's only room inside for microfilm....spy coin?

They're fun to have.
It wasn't that long ago when I thought that 'mint error' meant that something was wrong with my candy.

I received 2 similar halves in junk silver. A 2 headed 1964 Kennedy half as well as a 1964 Kennedy half with a Franklin liberty bell reverse. Both of these were put together perfectly

Don't light it.

Just a V or liberty nickel, not victory. The 1928 cent hasn't been plated, just attached to the reverse of the nickel after it was sanded down.

Not a spy coin. There would be no point in putting the cent in there, it would only take up space.
