going through some pocket change I noticed the Y in liberty seemed larger. I took the photo with a bright flash so you could see the letter looking higher up. The coin does seems to be a bit more shiny for its age. This was pocket change by the way.

A lot of newcomers to this site are very optimistic about some coin nuances they really don't understand. This is a primo learning site. The members are glad to help. Last year we had a newbie finding rare and undiscovered varieties every few days until he saw the light.
Good stuff is out there. Keep learning and searching. Best of luck.

I can agree that my AMAZING over-optimistic daily finds have been diminishing slowly as I am becoming more educated by all of the awesome people on this forum!

The "Y" tends to be taller on this year. A heavy die polishing can thin the devices. So I think this common for the year.
Note LIBERTY in this image:

I know it is a doubled die on these images, but you can see the "Y" towering over the rest of the devices in that area.
Richard S. Cooper

Some have asked about my images I use and I'm glad to say, I've completed an educational DVD of these. Ask if you are interested.
