Can you save coins in donation boxes?

See if you can volunteer as the collection guy for the charity? Or help them sort and roll the coins that are collected? Would be a dream opportunity!

Their coins. If there is a valuable one in the collection box, tell them so. THEY are the ones to loose if you don't tell them with your negligence dishonesty.

I would negotiate for a two way split on the value. It is THEIR coin, but they wouldn't have known without YOU telling them so.

I've been responsible for several donation boxes in some business for charity. I had to open the box and roll them and bring the money to the charity. only the person responsible for the box is allowed to open it. ask for him/her and tell them the value of the coins. if they don't know they'll just cash it in. but if you don't ask you'll never know.
