My silver has slowly been growing

99% of my silver has numismatic value and I wouldn't have it any other way
Silver IS a smart investment but I just can't bring myself to buy bullion instead of coins I like
Personally I would rather look at coins than lumps of silver bars.
The 90% coins have everything going for them, bullion value and interesting coins as well.
If you want to "Invest" in silver go for the 90% or Stirling coins, These normally sell for a small% over spot and are a lot more fun than poured bars IMHO

I agree with Trout. Except for tokens, all my silver has a numismatic value. I sold all my ingots and bought more coins. Well...all ingots except copper, I still keep that in the corner of the garage.

I remember when silver dropped to $3 an ounce when it was up at $50 an ounce. I bought at 3 and sold at 30. I think coins are more stable, even if they're circulated.

Hey, ever wonder who owns the most silver in the world? I wonder if it's that Kuwaiti Prince with the RR Silver Shadow made of...what else...sterling silver? Now that would be worth ing over.

Yes, I like coins too but also rounds and bars. A stack of nicely made bars makes me smile. I have 40 of the SilverTowne 5-oz. bars and enjoy looking at them and handling them now and then. This takes nothing away from the silver Maples or ASEs or even the US 90% coins I have. It's ALL good, Brothers and Sisters!

That's the great part of all this, Josh. We can each find the things that we like most and collect them. I do not love any of my collection but I do like everything that I have collected. I don't want to not be able to sell them when necessary or desirable, though, and I could never sell something that I loved.
