1991 American Eagle - 1-Oz Fine Silver.

captHedge New Member United Kingdom 1 Posts	Posted 09/24/2012 1:55 pm Hi All, I have a 1991 American Eagle 1oz Fine Silver Dollar that my dad acquired during his employment at the American Embassy in London, UK. Not knowing a lot about these, I did a search and after reading noticed that the one I have does not have a mark to indicate where it was made. The JM is located on the right-side of the eagles tail. It is still in it's original box, which is like suede and also a cardboard cover as well. Does this have any value, beyond that of silver? I have taken some pics with my iPhone if it helps. Making it worth usually $3-4 over spot. Unless it had a low mintage that year. Just checked my Red Book and that year had just over 7 million minted which was pretty average back then. So probably worth just the small premium over spot mentioned before unless someone else knows something I'm missing (I'm no expert on ASEs). Good looking coin either way.
